I will be questioning you on what experience you have and the reasons that you say there were no irregularities,
I am a retired Chief Engineer who over the years has completed many forms, reports ,read and understood many instructional documentation files in various countries all over the world and I defy you to say that this balloting form was not misleading or confusing.
I had to ask the electioneering officer present that if I vote no change does that mean my opinion, my vote would count as no change and she informed me no that I have to vote yes then mark my choice.Clear!!!!!
Now with over 8000 total votes cast and 5% of these were classed invalid that is over 400 votes and you state that there was no irregularities and that this form was not confusing or misleading.Well Karen ,no disrespect to you but you would be the last person that I would get to check my books.
Over the past few days I have spoken with numerous business people in the Westbank area and they for the most part want West Kelowna as our name but not because it is a better name only because it looks and sounds more impressive on there lettereads and business cards.
We cannot allow this Mayor, council and a minority of voters with there own secet agendas to summarily change our name,We the people of the Westside ask no demand a proper referendum vote with just the two top names Westbank and West Kelowna on a straight forward ballot form and Westbank voters will abide by the results of this legal and binding vote, whether it be West Kelowna or Westbank.
Thank You
